| Protect my content from duplication? |

I have a blogger blog and I have alot of content I have written on music production and I was wondering if there is a way to stop people from just copying and pasting my content onto their own site?

There isn't really anything you can do to stop people from stealing your content. What you can do is use something like http://www.copyscape.com/ to check if there are copies of your content out there.
If there are you have a few different options, ranging from asking them to take it down, contacting their hosting company and requesting they take down the content, or even taking a legal route - though this shouldn't be necessary in most cases.
As long as your site is being indexed you have the benefit of being recognised by the search engines as the original owner of the content in question - it should be the scraper who will be penalised for having duplicate content.

Just one more option comes to my mind as well and that is to create a small code box below each of your content pages and then kindly ask the visitors to add to your blog if they intend using your content on their pages.
This way, gradually some people and webmasters will be linking to you, although many might not and continue using your texts but it is also an idea. |

So the quick answer is that you can't do much about it if someone is serious about stealing your content but you shouldn't worry about it either. Just do what you do and do it best and you probably won't have any problems.

great advice from all, I can only abide by the rules and hope nobody steals from me than. The only reason I worry is because I spend hours on end writing the content I have on my site.

for a recent update i have found that almost %40 of my page content has been copied and used on other sites. some mention my site but the vast majority do not. some do not change anything either. even my typos are the same on their sites. lol
