Reciprocal link
A reciprocal link is a mutual link between two objects, commonly between two websites to ensure mutual traffic. Example: A and B have websites. If B's website links to A's website, and A's website links to B's website, the websites are reciprocally linked. Reciprocal linking between websites is an important part of the search engine optimization process because Google uses link popularity algorithms.
Three way linking
Three way linking (siteA ⇒ siteB ⇒ siteC ⇒ siteA) is a special type of reciprocal linking. The attempt of this link building method is to create more "natural" links in the eyes of search engines. The value of links by three-way linking can then be better than normal reciprocal links, which are usually done between two domains.
Link exchange
An alternative to the automated linking above is a link exchange forum, in which members will advertise the sites that they want to get links to, and will in turn offer reciprocal or three way links back to the sites that link to them.
One-way linking
One-way link is a term used among webmasters for link building methods. It is a hyperlink that points to a website without any reciprocal link; thus the link goes "one-way" in direction. It is suspected by many industry consultants that this type of link would be considered more natural in the eyes of search engines. One-way links are also called Incoming Links or Inbound Links.
Multi-way linking
Multi-way linking is a technique used for website promotion whereby websites may create similar one-way links that each involves 3 or more partner sites. This provides each website with a one-way non-reciprocal link. This technique has evolved from reciprocal linking.

good explanation of link building methods
One way links - It's also a hard task, mainly you have to buy.
Link exchanging - much easier.
Multi-way linking - first time hearing!!!

Easily nobody will accept Link Building.But you can do Blog Rolling.you can write a letter to many of them they will link your site to their blogs.This will dramatically will improve your PR and will get immediate Links

this information is very helpful for other seo's.
One way link exchange is really good but very hard task
Reciprocal link exchange is better and easy
3-Way link exchange is always better -in this case 3-way link exchange is also refer as one way link exchange. |

Hey,
That's nice information.
But only link exchange is not a way of link building.
There are some other ways also for link building like article Submission,
Press Release Submission, Social Bookmarking and some advertising forums also help in link building.
What would every one want to say about that ?

I see a growing trend of interest among money making webmasters and online business owners on Yahoo! Answers. Site owners are utilizing Yahoo! Answers as a method of marketing with an intention of gaining some exposure to their sites.
However, we all know that Yahoo! Answers uses nofollow attribute on the external links therefore links on this platform will not give you any PR juice or backlinks. Since this is a popular platform, it is OK to gain a little exposure by getting your site around the system which might work for some as a branding purpose, but you are out of luck if you are looking to get backlinks for your site. |
