Google restricts Adwords urls to "up to 1024 characters". Microsoft states the maximum length of a URL in Internet Explorer as 2,083 characters, with no more than 2,048 characters in the path portion of the URL.

The length of the URL doesn't matter but how easy is your URL to remember by a user to come back to your site is really the matter optimize your site for users not for search engines Google always likes a website that is optimized for user
