To ask a question,you already know since you have posted this question. However, just above where it says ask. Type in your question then follow the prompts to select the category and submit. Just do what you did to post this question.

To answer a question: Click on the blue answer button below the question fill in your answer where shown, run spell check,preview, click submit.

Points have no monetary value it's really just the satisfaction of helping others, no strings attached. More points give you more participation.
To move up answer lots of questions, the maximum you can do every day trying for best answer which gives you ten points, and avoid asking questions that costs you five points. When you ask a question be sure to return and pick a best answer to get 3 points back. Also be sure to vote for undecided questions, you get a point for that. An easy way to check the complete setup and privileges.

To get traffic form yahoo you have to be active member on yahoo and publish unique answer then you will be able to post signature to get quality backlinks.
