Right keyword density  Reply with quote

Who can suggest a good article on a professional optimization for current algorithm of Yahoo? All the materials seem outdated on the web...

Another question. What is a current keyword density ratio for Yahoo in order to rank #1 for a two word keyword?

Thanks!

For every search engine use always 3-5 % keyword density so that it dont look like a spammy site if you will use more keyword density. So avoid it & use always 4-5 % KD.

Now there are many kinds of tool and website can help you check the keyword density, you just enter the URL of your choice to find the keyword density of all the phrases that occur on that specific page. The result will let you know if your keyword phrases occur too often or not often enough.

Keyword Density  Reply with quote

I'm not a fan of the concept of keyword density. Even for Yahoo. Just make sure your target keyword appears as follows:

1. In title tag
2. In description tag
3. Two or three times on the page
4. Early and late in the copy
5. That there are related phrases on the page

I agree with dburdon. Just one more thing I would add to the list is not to try to optimised for too many keywords on the same page. You can always optimise interior pages to cover all your keywords with large search volumes.

keyword density is the ratio of a keyword or key phrases to the total number of word on that page . it is one of the most critical aspects of successful search engine optimization . to improve your search engine ranking potential your keyword density must be just right . to calculate your keyword density divide the total number of words on your page by the number of times your primary keyword or key phrase appears . keyword density is critical when outlining the keyword portion of your search engine optimization strategy .

Post Penguin and the EMD update you need keyword diversity rather than keyword density.

Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page. In the context of search engine optimization keyword density can be used as a factor in determining whether a webpage is relevant to a specified keyword.

Keyword density indicates the number of times a selected keyword has appeared in an article of any web page. Keyword density is hard to quantify. Itís a measurement of the number of times that your keywords appear on the page versus the number of words on a page a ratio, in other words.
