BR's in text...  Reply with quote

Do BR's in text down grade the link or word relevance?.... example

Free Hunting Magazines

VS

Free<br> Hunting<br> Magazines

Would search engines treat them the same?? I need to know this as i want the text layout with just one word on each line.....

Thanks in Advance....

I don't know the real answer, but I don't think that would hurt, especially not for for the general text case.

I would assume that the SEs will treat a <br> like a space in most cases.

But is XHTML really of use in the day to day web world?

HTML is so entrenched, I don't see how the web will ever move past it as a whole. Browsers will always support it for backwards compatibility, no matter how far the standard of the day has moved on, don't you think?

I agree, but generally I try to move toward XHTML.
