Does Yahoo like AWS site?  Reply with quote

Does Yahoo like AWS site? I read that Yahoo generally doesn't like affiliate sites. Is this true?

Ah, thanks for clarifying.

Well, I don't have any experience with that at the moment, so I can't tell you if rankings are unnaturally impeded by Amazon links.

How about some other affiliate site that is created from the content that the affiliate program provides?

Being able to detect repeated affiliate content is a major trick for any engine, and I think they simply don't have the resources to do so. The desire to do so is debateable.

The easiest way to penalize affiliates, *if* that is what they wanted to do, would be to simply examine the outbound links. Links to Amazon are pretty obvious aren't they? I suppose URLs could be masked, but most don't bother.

What do you mean by "URLs could be masked"?
