Better Than Adsense! [Chitika]  Reply with quote

Hey everyone,

I know this sounds kind of spammy, (and I am asking you to follow an affiliate link), but I have had really good success with eMiniMalls.

Have you heard of them? They are the PPC ads that pay more than Adsense. They show prices, reviews, and detailed information all in a small amount of valuable real estate!

I have had REALLY good success with them and I think it's going to pick up once Christmas shopping starts to get busy. I also think it's good to start using them ASAP because I think I'm getting alot of clicks just from people's curiosity. Nobody's seen anything like this!

So, to learn more please follow the bottom link in my signature and start earning!!

So are you running them contextual, or with keywords?

Contexual must be off if running AdSense too...

They don't have any SEO products do they?! ;)

That's right, they are non-contextual by default because they received alot of feedback about being run with adsense. I took adsense off the site I'm running them on just to be safe...

Actually, I tried giving it "search engine optimization" and it showed an ad for "NetIQ Web Position Gold"! So they do have SEO stuff!

Like adsense, reporting actual numbers is a violation of TOS.

My personal experience is that the EPC is MUCH higher than adsense, but the CTR is lower. In the end I make more money using the eMiniMalls.

I value EPC MUCH more than CTR because if someone doesn't click on the ad, they're hopefully clicking on one of my affiliate links (ebay, etc.) which sets the cookie and will hopefully turn into a sale over the next 7 days. This is better than getting someone to your site who leaves after clicking on adsense and you only get $.03.

Hey Andrew,

I see you've implemented eMiniMalls on this site. How are they working out so far?

Don't have any stats, but sure is a unique service. I'm feeding it some terms from the page and some general ones. SEO isn't the perfect fit, but it is doing it's best.

For those interested, it looks like 3rd-party developers are starting to make Chitika even better!

http://chitikatips.com/referral-query.php

This is a link to some javascript that parses out the query string from the referral URL and uses that for the keywords to Chitika. This means that your ads show exactly what your users are looking for!!!

They did just recently change the ad format so that people have to click on the store name (they used to be able to click on the picture of the product).

I am still seeing a decent return on the ad space I have devoted to chitika. I would still recommend them on "product oriented" sites.
