1. Google is slightly more off page.
2. MSN's algo is biased to more recent information.

There is almost no different between new IBL and old IBL in MSN. So, if you acquire tens of thousands of links today, then you'll get #1 position in MSN in a couple of weeks. This is not the case in Google.

MSN also seems to rank blogs pretty high on a frequent basis. Might want to test that out...

Does MSN prefer blogs powered by MSN blogging software or there is no such indication?

MSN and blogs  Reply with quote

MSN's algorithm likes recent information. So it naturally likes blogs with frequent postings.

I stick with Blogger. And my blogs do fine.

MSN is easy and Google is hard ;) msn loves links and title tags, header tags are still believed to be big in google and yahoo. Yahoo loves blogs also.

Google is slightly hard as compared with MSN.

But both considers updated content

There is no sharp difference between the two but MSN finds newer websites very fast, in some cases even in a few hours.

Makes more refreshing of websites and counts the links very fast. It loves content and on page optimization.

Google is based upon patience and no hurried methods can help a site much in google rankings. For success in Google, you need long lasting links with informative website and time. :)

You can reach on top witihn a week in MSN Even after you have new site, for google it may takes months. more old your link means more trusted and better in SERP in google. MSN Counts only no of backlinks..that's all!

The answer to this is not easily definable. As no one knows the algorithm except people inside those companies. We can speculate on what the algorithm may be, but one thing is certain is that these are all different algorithms and they are all very very complex.
