I personally believe that there would be no distinguishable differance that would show better results on one than the other. The only importance to Google is for example the length of the URL, they like the shorter ones, it looks cleaner. Also, whether or not the actual SUB-domain carries a specific keyword in the prefix - now that will have an impact. Google loves URLs that tag information from the sites content.

For example, look at this, its not a sub domain but it shows the keyword rich url.

You have it on one of the two sites you're testing? If so, which one?

Both web crawling and page ranking are different. There are three important characteristics of the Web that make crawling it very difficult:

* its large volume,
* its fast rate of change, and
* dynamic page generation.

These characteristics combine to produce a wide variety of possible crawlable URLs.

On the other hand, PageRank is based on citation analysis that was developed in the 1950s by Eugene Garfield at the University of Pennsylvania, and Google's founders cite Garfield's work in their original paper. By following links from one page to another, virtual communities of webpages are found. Web link analysis was first developed by Jon Kleinberg and his team while working on the CLEVER project at IBM's Almaden Research Center.

Anyhow i am waiting for your complete article

SEM requires a comprehensive and in-depth test plan that can uncover potential problems before they strike. Learn what testing practices should be applied to your SEM landscape, and prepare for the testing requirements that are unique and vital to an SEM project.
