Jashmin,

your signature refers to SEO expertise. Should you be asking such a question?

It is not a single algorithm but a combination of many that constitute their system of assigning values .....

Everything from the build of the site itself (type of technology, precision, etc.) to the overall relevancy (page, Content, META, page-to-page, etc.) is individually valued, and it is this total 'score' that becomes the basis for a site's position to then be put into comparison to other sites of the same identifiable genre to be assigned a "rank" as a reference to the SE itself as it strives to produce optimal results for clients based on the current search trends of clients themselves.

This is why SEO is a combination of efforts and a dynamic process in response to the ever-shifting focus on any one of the variables, the most important is the trends of Search Clients themselves -- the real driving force behind what is important today as opposed to yesterday!

If you want to try to get some insight from the current Google 'mentality' you need only study the "suggested searches" that are now a feature whenever you key anything into the engine: the list displayed will give you an insight into current popularity of similar key words in the order they have been entered. *Keep in mind though, some of these have been influenced somewhat by the sponsorship programs Google runs, but it is still a good peek into what is working ....

You make no sense at all, and your odd ability to express yourself using plain English indicates what I see as potentially a contributory segment of the global webbie community that sustains the perpetuation of "Grey Hat SEO" that reverberates from across the ocean despite concrete "proof" from the sources (like Google) themselves to the contrary. No No

I hope you are not actually collecting money from people for your "wisdom" with regard to real SEO Best Practices! THAT would be a shame! Cool

hi,
About a week and a half ago, there was the start of discussion around Google's brand push in the algorithm. Some people started noticing that for some queries (mostly generic queries), more "big brands" were showing up in the search results.

Yes search engines change their algorithms time to time. For more details you have to read the webmaster guidelines.
