Google AdWords  Reply with quote

Hi there,

I know there are different formats to advertise with via Google AdWords.
I'm thinking about advertising with Flash, but there are some restrictions on that.

My question: Do you think it is allowed to place a Counter in an image ad?
My website is based on a counter. The counter counts down till a certain event starts. I want to share this counter with other websites via Google AdWords.

Looking forward to your reply.

Michel

I think you can do that...

because in the google animated adwords policy..it is mention that you can put the flash file of 50kb .

but these images adwords are not shown in the search result .they will be visible in the partner site only.

A lot of depend on the coding like action script , coding type etc.

I think that this URL will help you in that

Thanks for the link. I see there are some restrictions under which

"Animation Length: Animated ads are restricted to a maximum of 30 seconds (at a 15-20 fps frame rate), after which point they must remain static. These ads must also comply with the other animation policies. "

A counter that works just 30 seconds is not an option.. hmm

yeah you can say that...
but you must notice one thing that a user usually takes 5 to 6 second to notice something interesting...so the main concern is not timing ..it should be way of present and eye catching design...

if you do that then 30 sec is enough for you...(just a suggestion )

put your comment

of course, the ad will be eye catching Cool
But if AdWords doesn't allow this counter then it really cuts out the whole idea.
I thought it's very creative because you don't see that often.

By the way Michel, are you absolutely sure that using Flash would be the best idea about your Google advertising, especially the timed format?

You know, any delays in displaying ads contents might create reverse effects because your ads would have only seconds to create impressions over the net and people might not wait for a long time seeing the files loading.

Google Adwords help  Reply with quote

I am a wedding photographer in Baton Rouge, LA.

I need help with ranking higher on Google Adwords.

My site is http://www.cjgrace.com

and my blog: http://www.cjgraceblog.com

What could I do to help improve. I was thinking about completely redesigning the site and making a new wordpress theme with a few pages. Or should I go with a landing page. Any suggestions? And anyone that could help or know of a great site that could help me?

Thank you!

CJ,

its a good looking site and very visually focused. Try putting some more copy on the home page.

If you're just targeting the Baton Rouge area getting rankings shouldn't be too tough.

Google Adwords or Google Organic  Reply with quote

It looks like people have lost their way on this thread. Is it about Google Adwords? Or about Google organic search?

BUt wouldn't that only work if someone clicked the image. I need it to automatically count everytime the page is loaded. Remember, none of these social networks allow javascript or php to run freely, it is limited at best.
