There is some misunderstanding about how search engines regard duplicate content. Google does not punish a website or an author for having an article published on more than one site. With article marketing, the goal is to have your article republished on many sites, and the whole purpose of article directories is to provide free reprint articles to publishers.

So, search engines do not regard it as being a bad thing to have a piece of content published on multiple sites. This does not mean that they want to list every instance of the article on the internet in the search results.

A search engine will likely show only a few instances of an article on different sites in search results, meaning searches done by your target readers for keyword terms associated with your article.

I totally agree with you i write one article and submit that article on 100 article directories for article marketing as well as backlinks. I think i am doing this for more then 1 year and never get duplicate content warning as well as never search engine plenty my website.

Effective article marketing is not about submitting articles to article submission sites. Effective article marketing is about writing quality articles that are useful or interesting to your market, using some on your own website and getting some published on other related websites

Article marketing with the spam content or words in essence is spam, but Google has, as of now, disregarded dup content, for lower PR sites. This site that have felt the impact are article directories accepting the dup content and have lost rankings because of panda.

Duplicate Content has been very difficult for the search engines to determine a few things. Who wrote the original content in the first place? How can you penalize a site if it has dup content? What is the criteria, Google has a long way to go to get this dup content correct, which will make it better for all.

I think duplicate content website gets penalized by google. Because the ranking a website is totally based upon the content of the website and yes we can say that content is king. Thanks.

Google checks every duplicate content on the net. An article means to aware someone about our products and services. So if google finds some duplicate content then he penalizes it.

Directly contradicts Google’s Quality Guidelines – Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content.
