Are they links helpful to get high rankings?

If you are just looking for back links to improve your rankings, do waste your time on nofollow links. But of course, if a popular site you may get a lot of traffic from them.

No follow links only help you to generate traffic it not help you for back links. for back links need to collect do follow links.

Most social media links like LinkedIn and twitter are no follow and will not pass page rank, but may generate a lot of useful traffic. But if you make money out of writing articles, people clicking on your articles or run adsence, then it's not all about page rank. |

Hi,
The term or concept of Do-follow and no follow is given by google and it is found only in google toolbar. No other search engine working(or follow) on it. Google's crawler crawls to only do follow sites.
So, for google ranking (PR and SERP) it is a shear wastage of time but it is helpful in terms of traffic.

No Follow links are not counted as backlinks but it is useful in increasing traffic to our site and also it look genuine if our site have both the link i.e. Do and No follow.
So No follow is not totall waste. |

above all the explanation is right nofollow link does not given back link benifit but you can find clicks and traffic benifit for nofollow link.
most of blogging and social networking website are offers nofollow profile links.

i have a good line up with no follows too !!!
They just give you good ranking if placed on high PR site.
Most of the SEO people do take them bad, lol

Yes sure do help NoFollow Links in increasing your traffic and OF COURSE your Rankings.
How unnatural is a Website without any NoFollow Backlinks?
Sometimes im wondering how much some NoFollow Backlinks can help to improve the Rankings of my clients!
I dont talk about Blog Comments Spam NoFollow Backlinks. Im talking about NoFollow Backlinks from High Authority Websites like Wikipedia, Amazon, Flickr and YouTube!

A link that have 'rel=nofollow' tag in '<a href="">' tag of html code, known as No follow link and the absence of this tag in '<a href="">' tag called as Do follow links. Basically Google not crawled the link with nofollow tag but it can be useful for the site in visitor point of view. Its can give you good traffic and if you have the links with site content(description etc.) then your site content surly crawled by the crawler and its make a benefit for the site. |

A nofollow link is a link that is included on a webpage using standard html markup but includes an attribute to prevent passing link juice or reputation to the destination page. This type of link does not improve the link target search engine ranking. But advantage of these link is that they can help in getting traffic, many bookmarking and networking sites links are no follow but they still helps in producing good traffic.

Nofollow link is a attribute of anchor text in HTML. It instruct the crawlers or bots that don't follow the link. webmasters are use this attribute to protect website against spammers.
